The property is near the Basilica of San Giovanni in Conca, dating back to the 4th century, of which only the crypt and some remains survive today. The crypt can be visited via the staircase located at the back of the Basilica’s remains.
At the center of the square stands the statue of the hero of the Five Days of Milan, Colonel Giuseppe Missori, who later joined Garibaldi’s Expedition of the Thousand, saving Garibaldi’s life.
